Very aesthetic conifer lath from Badger Flat, Nevada - unpolished petrified wood

Description

Interesting lath of coniferous wood that has been naturally weathered to highlight each growth cycle as a layer on the one below it.  This is a very aesthetic piece measuring 4" x 3.75" x 1.25" on the longest chords.  Our photos also show the back (flat and gray) and the bottom of this piece.  There will be no guessing by even a novice that this is indeed petrified wood!
We specialize in petrified wood and plant fossils which are accurately identified as to locality of origin and family, genus or species. We don't guess and when we don't know, we say so!  Your specimen will come with a label identifying the specimen, the locality where it was collected, the formation and age of the material and any other pertinent information we have gleaned from our literature search.
