This natural petrified wood originated from the Fleming Geological Formation which was formed during the Miocene time period and found only in a small area of South Central Texas. The unique fossil wood is highly agatized resulting in very hard, dense stone, with lots of detail, but most importantly does not disintegrate or leach in the water. This is an ideal natural stone for aquascapes, terrariums, aquariums, or simply as natural display pieces. Its appearance is nearly exactly the same wet or dry.
