This listing features an absolutely outstanding face cut specimen of agatized petrified wood originating from Coal Mine Basin along the Idaho and Oregon border within the Owyhee Mountains of Eastern Oregon! The cut fossil wood shows excellent growth structure and displays colors of black, orange, gold, tan and brown. There are a couple of areas upon the cut face that have growth features and coloration that look like mushrooms! The second photo shows this "mushroom" scene the picture wood produces. The exterior of the specimen shows great growth structure, is opalized and stabilized by the interior agate. This fossil wood specimen weighs 4 pounds 3.4 ounces and measures 165mm by 98mm by 114mm. All photographs were taken while the specimen was wet excluding the final three photographs which show the piece while dry. I will combine shipping for multiple purchases as long as the specimens can be packaged in a manner that minimizes the potential for damage.
