LARGE FACE PLANK CUT GRASSY MOUNTAIN PETRIFIED WOOD PINK RED AGATE OR 6LB 6.7OZ!

Description

This listing features a face cut specimen of SPECTACULAR Petrified Wood originating from an unknown location; however, it is highly likely this specimen is Grassy Mountain Petrified Wood from the world renowned deposit in Malheur County of Eastern Oregon! The well preserved fossil wood has been rip / plank cut and displays beautiful coloration and wood grain structure in bright vivid colors including purple, orange, pink and red highly translucent agate! I obtained this specimen in an old estate collection and it was not labeled. However, the wood does show characteristics that are congruent with high quality petrified wood originating from the Grassy Mountain deposit, and I am reasonably confident that it did originate there! The fossil wood weighs 6 pounds 6.7 ounces and measures 198mm by 155mm by 147mm. All photos taken while the petrified wood was wet excluding the final two photographs which show the specimen while dry.
