Really cool and striking round of petrified wood. From the classic Grassy Mountain location in eastern Oregon. It comes out of one of the finest collections of petrified wood in the Northwest! Perfect, liquid, glassy polish. Preservation is perfect, and is wonderful under the microscope. Beautifully agatized in gold, with a unique lavender center! Grassy Mountain is some of the best, most beautiful wood in the Northwest, or anyplace else, for that matter. The area that it is found is very small, and the future site of a mine. There will be no more wood from Grassy Mountain. 6 1/2 x 5 x 1/2". You don't see quality like this often.
