Description
Available in this listing is an exceptionally rare, face cut oddity round limb cast dendritic plume opal replacement after petrified wood originating from along Squaw Creek just South of Marsing, Idaho! The unusual display specimen shows the round exterior limb structure with the entire interior of the cast replaced and filled with nearly 100% opal! The vast majority of the rare limb cast is opal with several colors and well-defined black dendritic plumes within the opal. The location of origin is between a blue opal thunderegg dig near Elephant Butte and the precious fire opal from the Wangdoodle claim of years past. The display fossil limb cast piece weighs 2 pounds 5.3 ounces and measures 110mm by 96mm by 60mm tall. All photographs were taken while the specimen was wet excluding the final two photographs which portray the opal filled limb cast while dry. I will combine shipping for multiple purchases as long as the specimens can be packaged in a manner that minimizes the potential for damage.
