    #13603 is an extra large pair of petrified wood bookends that have beautiful rugged bark and are many shades of brown and gray with amber and rust colored highlights. They weigh 15.0 pounds and are 14 1/4” wide, 8 1/4” tall and 1 7/8” thick standing vertically or 17 1/2” wide 7 1/8” tall and 1 7/8” thick standing horizontally.
    This set was taken from a tree  that lived, became buried in the Columbia River Basalt Flow, died and petrified during the Miocene Epoch more than 23 million years ago on Saddle Mountain in
    Eastern Washington State
    .
    Their front is polished to a mirror finish and their bottom and sides are felted to protect your bookshelf.
