Eagle Creek Formation Petrified Wood Stump Pieces ~ Lot of 4 Pieces ~ 11 lbs

Description

These four pieces of petrified wood are from the Eagle Creek Formation in NW Oregon, dated to between 34 - 28 MYA. When originally gathered, they were all one piece, although there were areas of weakness that held them together, meaning that they would, eventually, come apart, which they did.
Having said that, it’s obvious from the different direction of the wood grain and the growth rings that this stump was, at the time it was living, a multi-stemmed bush or tree.
The pieces are incredibly detailed and the rings are very well preserved. Three of the four pieces have visible quartz veins and/or agates.
