This listing features a beautiful, extremely colorful base cut stand up specimen of exceptional, top quality Petrified Wood originating from near Ashwood, Oregon! The fossil wood specimen exhibits highly detailed growth structure in colorful agate including pigmentation of red, pink, orange, yellow and others! This specimen has one cut at the base that allows the specimen to stand upright for display showing the colorful center of the wood and the exterior bark structure in great detail around nearly the entire circumference! This stand up display specimen is a beautiful and thoughtfully prepared natural piece ready for mantle or cabinet placement! The cut base shows perfectly healed fractures with translucent agate chalcedony that welds the piece seamlessly; one's fingernail cannot detect an open fissure. The fossil wood was photographed wet except for the last four photographs which show the petrified wood display while dry. The agatized fossil wood specimen weighs 2 pounds 1.4 ounces and measures 122mm by 65mm by 130mm.
