15+ Pounds Of Old Stock Saddle Mountain Petrified Wood And Bog Wood - MFRB
These medium flat rate boxes will be AT LEAST 15 pounds of petrified wood and possibly some petrified bog wood included. The first six photos are representative images only of what you might expect in the lot. Each lot WILL BE slightly different in pieces, colors, shapes and sizes. The last few pictures are of the old stock we have from an older gentleman who dug this a long time ago.
The pieces will range from over 2 fists large to smaller pieces around two fingers big. These would be excellent for making small specimens, specimens themselves or great for cutting on a small trim saw or small slab saw (around a 8” blade diameter) or even for polishing through tumbling. There could be some small druzy pockets or opalized wood in these groupings (nothing with super color flash though - mainly white or pale blue/grey).
Saddle Mountain(s) are in South Eastern Washington State just north of the Richland/Pasco/Kennewick area. The Saddle Mountain range has mainly coniferous and some hardwoods as petrified woods. Saddle Mountain is famous for its ‘picture wood’ which shows beautiful colors and dendritic patterns due to mineral inclusions.
